Kudryavka - a new art location in Kyiv 🤎🤍

On the territory of the former wine warehouse in Kudryavka, Kyiv, a new pop-up space called "Kudryavka" has opened. It functions as a public lounge and café where cultural events take place. The space is located at 16 Kudryavska Street.

The venue operates from Thursday to Sunday, and its visitors have the opportunity to explore works by Kyiv artists. Among them are painters Salt Salome and Max Svitlo, sculptor Zhanna Kadyrova, perfumers Vlad Zvarych and Yevhen Lazarchuk, as well as other figures from the capital's art community.

This project is part of an initiative to revitalize a building constructed at the end of the 19th century by architect Volodymyr Bezsmertnyi. The building was in a state of disrepair for a long time, and it is currently being restored by David Chipperfield's architectural firm, known for its innovative approaches to the restoration of historical sites.

This site has a rich history: The State Wine Warehouse No. 1, built in 1896, is one of the first examples of industrial architecture in Kyiv. In addition, the complex includes a metal viaduct over the Voznesensky Ravine, which is considered the oldest bridge in Kyiv.

The new space in Kudryavka has already become popular among visitors due to the cultural events held there. It serves as an example of the harmonious blend of the past and the present, where art is revived in the industrial environment of the late 19th century.

This artistic location not only enriches the city's cultural landscape but also contributes to the revitalization of Kyiv's historic districts, offering contemporary artists a unique platform within the context of the capital's architectural heritage.
